Matthew Stafford delivered a historic performance on Monday Night Football, throwing four touchdown passes as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6 at SoFi Stadium.

The veteran quarterback finished the night with 327 passing yards, four touchdowns and one interception, helping Los Angeles earn its first victory of the 2026 season.
But the biggest moment came when Stafford moved into sixth place on the NFL’s all-time career passing touchdown list.
Stafford Passes Philip Rivers
Stafford entered the game within reach of another major career milestone.
His third touchdown pass of the night — an 11-yard connection with Davante Adams — gave Stafford career touchdown pass No. 426, moving him ahead of Philip Rivers.
By the end of the game, Stafford had increased his career total to 427.
Only five quarterbacks now sit ahead of him on the NFL’s all-time list: Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre.
Davante Adams Has Huge Night
Stafford wasn’t the only Rams star putting up impressive numbers.

Davante Adams caught eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, becoming Stafford’s biggest offensive weapon against New York.
The Rams produced 481 total yards compared with only 182 for the Giants.
Los Angeles controlled the game throughout the night, scoring a touchdown in every quarter.
Giants Lose Jaxson Dart to Knee Injury
The night became even more difficult for New York when quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a left knee injury during the Giants’ opening offensive series.
Dart was unable to return.
Jameis Winston replaced him and completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards with one interception.
The Giants managed only two field goals in the entire game.
Reports Tuesday indicated that Dart is believed to have suffered an MCL sprain, although additional medical evaluation is important for determining the severity of the injury.
A Major Rebound for Los Angeles
The victory was especially important after the Rams opened their season with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Stafford had failed to throw a touchdown in that game.
One week later, he responded with four.
The performance also showed how dangerous the Stafford-Adams combination could become as the season develops.
Stafford Continues Climbing NFL History
At 38, Stafford continues adding milestones to an already lengthy NFL career.
His 427 career touchdown passes now place him firmly among some of the biggest names in league history.
With the Rams back in the win column and Stafford coming off one of the biggest performances of Week 2, Los Angeles will now try to carry that momentum into the next game.
Final Score: Los Angeles Rams 28 – New York Giants 6
